At press time Tuesday afternoon voter turnout was steady. Jeremy Guin said that there had been about 200 students placing votes. According to preliminary figures some 385 WNMU students voted in the election.
In a phone interview Fallstich made the following statement:
"Student Government will no longer be a body of recommendation, but a force to be reckoned with on campus. I encourage all students to contact their Student Government officials with any concerns that they may have, with full expectation that those concerns will be addressed."
Plans to amend the Preamble of the ASWNMU Constitution fell through, and the item was not placed on the ballot. For more information on elections contact ASWNMU at 538-6113.
